(More customer reviews)If you have a Nikon CoolPix 880 you MUST have this battery. The EL-1 will keep you camera running for about 2 hours and can be recharge with the Nikon AC Adaptor/Charger.
You would better served if you pick up two of these so one can be chargeing while the other is in use. Lots of power packed into a tiny unit. Save the landfills and use a rechargable.
Also this product can save you lots of money, as the standard battery is about $12 to replace.

This package has so much going for it that I really wanted it to work as advertised. Great form factor, including an ingenious switch between AA and AAA operation (though it would be nice if this were detailed in the instructions, since it's not really obvious) and an included connector for charging in a car. There's even a spiffy blue LCD display that supposedly indicates charge process and faulty batteries. For the price (about half amazon's at the local computer shoppe), a great buy.
The only problem is that it just doesn't seem to produce batteries with a usable charge. To be honest, I don't know if that's the charger's fault or the fault of the included AA cells. I returned it before purchasing other batteries to try it with.
My test bed was a CD "Walkman" type player that used 2 AA cells. A typical pair of non-rechargeable batteries plays ... well, quite a few CDs, maybe 8 or 10. I'd be happy if I just got that many uses out of a charge, but the package claims they'll last "up to" 4 times as long as regular batteries. So I eagerly charge up a set until the LCD claims they're full, about the claimed 1 hour (I wasn't really tracking the time), and try them out. 15 minutes later, I'm shaking my CD player to try and get it started again, to no avail. This time I charged all 4 cells, and left them in several hours in case the indicator was faulty. This worked better. One set lasted 70 minutes, the other 60.
Given the similar problems reported for the similar Digital Concepts AC/DC Rapid ChargerDigital Concepts AC/DC Rapid Charger with 4 AA Rechargeable 1800 MAH NIMH Batteries, which unfortunately I didn't read before purchasing this one, I didn't waste any more time and effort.

(More customer reviews)Although the Elan II/IIe camera is wonderfully ergonomically designed, the BP-50 improves this aspect even more, particularly for vertical shots, but even for horizontal ones as well. The shutter release on the vertical grip is convenient, and the user still has access to the thumb wheel on the back. Unfortunately, there is no redundant main dial on the shutter release on the grip. Also, when you have CF-4 set to 1 (autofocus on the AE lock button) then it's nearly impossible to use autofocus in the vertical position (unless you have a really long thumb!). Another advantage of the grip, though, is the ability to use AA batteries with the camera. You probably could pay for the grip over time with the savings of using AAs over buying the 2CR5 batteries. And AAs are a lot more readily available than 2CR5s, should you need batteries in a bind. In summary, if most of the pictures you take are hand-held, such as sports and candid portraiture, then the BP-50 is definitely worthwhile.

Nikon MB-D10 Multi Power Battery Pack for Nikon D300 & D700 Digital SLR Cameras (Retail Packaging) Review

(More customer reviews)When using the MB-D10 with the D300, you will find that it is a great improvement from the MB-D200 (the D200 vertical grip). For one, it is made of magnesium alloy, and is much sturdier. It is also weather sealed like the D300 body. It fits nicely and firmly with the D300. It also has an additional multi selector, which is a great added feature. The MS-D10 (holder for AA batteries) also comes in a very nice pouch. Of course with such improvement comes the price increase as well!
If you want to achieve 8fps on your D300, you can use the EN-EL4/a battery with your MB-D10 or AA batteries (8 pieces). The ability to use AA batteries is a real plus point. Imagine having a long trip where you may not have access to charge your EN-EL3e batteries. Having the ability to use AA batteries means that you can carry a bunch of them and still be able to shoot... even deep in the wilderness.
Another advantage of the MB-D10 is that it is not L-shaped, which means that you can easily slip it into your camera bag and pull it out when you need it. To mount the grip, you do not need to remove the battery from your camera and marry the grip to the camera as how the D200+MB-D200 was designed to. It does not take as much space and not as awkward as grips that are L-shaped. This is a versatility of the MB-D10, but also has some getting used to.
Here are some areas which either you like or hate or take some getting use to:
1. The battery in the camera need not be removed to use the grip. So for those who leave the grip on all the time and want to use 2 batteries at a time, it would mean that you would need to remove the grip each time you want to remove the battery in the camera. It would be nice to be able to swap both batteries without having to remove the grip, but the design is such and we would have to live with it. What I've decided to do is to remove the battery in the camera and just use the one in the MB-D10. Besides, you can get a lot more shots with the D300 than the D200 for the same battery charge.
2. The shutter release button on the MB-D10 is a bit too sensitive, which means that you can quite easily trigger the shot. The sensitivity between the shutter-release button on the camera and the grip is different, so when switching orientation of the camera, you'll need to be aware of the sensitivity so that you do not accidentally take a shot which you did not mean to do so.
3. The MB-D10 can take the EN-EL4/a battery. However, the battery chamber cover for the EN-EL4/a is not part of the package, and you would need to purchase it separately. The battery chamber cover is BL-3.

(More customer reviews)This flash works great with my Canon 1sx IS. Even though the camera is not a full SLR the flash works in full automatic mode off the hot shoe. It also has manual controls (pick from 6 preset distances) for use in manual mode. It has a diffuser and bounce backboard that slide in the casing. The stofen diffuser is a nice extra. The flash is half the price of the comparable canon. The batteries and charger do the job but the charger takes too long. I like the energizer charger I find at CVS that fully charges the batteries in 3-4 hours as opposed to 10+ with this kits charger.

(More customer reviews)I purchased two sets of 4 Sunpack AA batteries (2650) about 3 or 4 years ago, and they still work great. I am a pro-wedding photographer and take many many AA batteries to every wedding/session and really need good charge time as much as fast recycle time (for my off camera flashes). Recently, I decided I should probably get some extra batteries since I've doubled my AA-needing-equipment. I bought two more sets (at the same local camera shop), and waited about a month before I took them out of the package to charge them up. I put them in my Maha smart charger only to find that 2 of the 8 batteries would register on the charger screen. It was like they weren't even on there. I took all of them out, tried putting just the two back in, and still...phantom batteries. I tried several other ways of putting them into the charge, but still nothing. So, I marked the other 6 batteries with a sharpie to distinguish them from my other batteries just in case I had future problems with the rest. Sure enough, at the following wedding I set up my lights on the reception dance floor and was sorely disappointed when my flashes wouldn't fire. After a close examination and ruling all possibilities out, I discovered they wouldn't fire with the newer charged Sunpack batteries. (this is also after doing a "conditioning" on my charger). So I am currently seeking to find some more reliable, fast recycling AA batteries.

I bought this kit from Butterfly Photo because I bought the Fuji film camera about 2-3 months earlier. When putting the Fuji film camera on the stand it snapped and fell over! However, after one quick email to butterfly photo explaining what a dud this was they took care of it immediately. In about 5 days I received new batteries and new charger and a new stand! All of which worked perfectly. They told me just to throw away the broken stuff so i did not have to worry about shipping the broken stuff back. The really wanted to make sure I got a working product. They were great! Also the tripod is really cool. It doesn't need to be tall be cause it wraps around anything! Lamps, tables etc etc!

I'm a little concern to see if it can last long or not. The battery door pops in/out... wiggling around if you touch it. Not a very good seal, in case of bad weather. Maybe I got a defective one? Just not very sure about quality to recommend it to others. Since I am very careful with my camera, I may learn to live with it. Other than that, it was a very easy installation--came with everything as described by seller (ir remote, controls, etc). Shipping is very fast!
I expected them to be a better quality after reading the selling pitches in the item descriptions. O Well, if you could afford a Canon grip, go for it. It is a better mold and it is weather sealed. I know I'll have to get a Canon grip in the future since I don't think this one will last that long with the battery door being so flimsy attached.

I got the camera quickly and all of the items were included and were packaged very well, also the included card is a high speed card so there is little lag until you take your next shot. The bag is well made and very well padded. Definitly recommend this kit to anyone, my order also came with a 50 inch tripod as well as the mini tripod!!! The batteries included with the camera are great and the extra set are superb, recharge time on the extra set is a little slow but they are 3100 MAH batteries!!!

(More customer reviews)To go with my new Canon Digital Rebel T2i, I looked around for a third-party LP-E8 battery. Yes I know the argument--"why would you put $4/$8/$10 battery in a $800 camera, it's worth it for the peace of mind to go with the genuine Canon battery," etc. Well having been using digital cameras and DSLRs for well near 10 years now, and having used plenty of third-party batteries (including "name brands" like SterlingTek and other no-name ones), I don't have any qualms about using third-party batteries. They work just as well for a fraction of the cost. Really, when was the last time you've heard of a digital camera exploding or catching on fire because of the third-party batteries?
I have a Power2000 brand LP-E5 equivalent battery that I've been using in my Digital Rebel XSi for the past two years with great results, so I wanted to get the same brand for the T2i (LP-E8). I bought it through Amazon.com's Marketplace, from a vendor called TheMemStore. They shipped it promptly, and I had it a few days later.
The battery charges fine in the T2i-supplied battery charger, and works fine in the camera. It is rated for 1,500mah capacity as opposed to the genuine Canon's 1,120mah, so in theory it should give you approx. 35% more shots per charge. As I tend to recharge the batteries whenever I return home, and not necessarily let the batteries go until they are fully discharged, I haven't really noticed a difference yet--but it certainly seems to last just as long as the Canon battery that came with the camera. The T2i seems to eat up battery power rather quickly while shooting video, so I may end up getting another one for a full day's shooting/recording. One difference between the Power2000 battery and the Canon OEM battery is the rated voltage: 7.4V for the Power2000 and 7.2V for the Canon battery. A cursory web search indicates that this is within acceptable fluctation range for the battery.
I've uploaded a couple of pictures of the battery package and the battery itself. Notice the package states 7.2V, but the battery itself states 7.4V (same as the item description).
Overall I'm pretty happy with this battery--a great value for 1/5 of the Canon battery's cost.

(More customer reviews)I recently discovered these batteries in a store and tried them out as they claimed they were designed for digital applications.
They dusted regular and premium AA batteries when I used them in my Canon 550EX flash. With normal batteries I get around 250 shots, but to get those I have to swap the batteries out to let them cool down after about 100 shots. With the Kodak 3x batteries, I got over 400 shots and did not have to swap them out. On top of that, they seemed to recharge the flash even faster then normal as they warmed up.
While I don't recommend them for low-continuous power devices such as clocks and flash lights, I do highly recommend them for high-energy use devices such as digital cameras and flashes.
The reason I have found from looking up the specs on the Kodak site is they are indeed designed for high-energy digital devices which consume a lot of power over a short duration, in fact the more you drain (up to a point) the more over all power they should provide.
If you only take an occasional picture once in a blue moon, I don't recommend them, but if like me you take lots in one setting, these batteries are fantastic. Unless I can't find them I don't use anything else in my camera flashes anymore.
