(More customer reviews)You should know immediately that ANY electronic is sensitive to the smallest of changes, and knock-off chargers can do anything from lowering long-term battery life to actually messing up your system.
You just can't expect the same quality from this as you would the official charger, but 60-80 dollars is nothing to sneeze at. If you think you can avoid keeping your laptop constantly plugged into this and instead only charge it when it needs it, you'll be saving fifty dollars.
Something I'm VERY pleased about is that the charger came in two days earlier than estimated! Thanks for not leaving my boyfriend without his computer, he's going to be very happy when he gets home.

(More customer reviews)Original Dell AC power adapter had been failing to charge/power my laptop. The tip where it connects is a bit of a design flaw, and noted as weak. This is a replacement item, but the output specs match the original, and the pricing is far below what Dell charges. Connection is firm, but I have taken the step to add strain relief to prevent similar incident. Laptop is back in action. Hoping for long life/reliability.

1st. This damn thing gets HOTT!! you deffinatly dont want it laying on something you dont want burnt. I actually got it hot enough it shut down.
2nd. I like the blue ight on the end, makes it easy to find
3rd. its smaller, but when cords get wrapped around it, basically the same size
4th. It didnt catch on fire like the El Cheapo I got from Ebay! (Seller did refund my money plus shipping after i sent him pics)
I will be on the look out for an OEM Dell charger that just gets warm

(More customer reviews)The item arrived on time and was well packaged. It's almost identical to the original Dell charger and it says on top "replacement charger". The only minor point that I want to point out is that its power cord (from wall outlet) is too short when compared to the original. Since my original power cord was not damaged I used that and attached it to the replacement charger. All in all it's okay. No big deal...it works and it's cheap too! :)
