(More customer reviews)After having this product for over 6 months now I am offering a review. The concept of this product is great, a battery operated charge for Samsung Rogue because it dies so quickly and it allows you to charge on the go. Well my 1st order came defective but the company replaced it right away no questions asked via email on their website. The charger charges the phone but I notcied after prolonged charging it seems to "fry" the phone. Then it makes this faint beeping noise and shuts off, defeating the whole purpose of fully charging the phone. This is my 2nd review of product just to follow up. At this point I'll just be looking into a new phone as this phone has run its course and wasn't very good to be begin with.

This compact clamp is made in the USA, VERY well built, small enough to fit in you pocket.

It allows a camera or camcorder that has a tripod mount, to be solidly attached to a table, car window, handlebar, skateboard, hand glider, tree branch, park bench, shopping cart, so on and so forth (you get the idea), using a standard 1/4"-20 threaded quick connect screw, just like any camera tripod. (More customer reviews)I like to listen to music when I go camping but often run out of battery life on my pioneer inno. I thought this would be a decent product to own so that I would be able to continue to listen to music. It uses four AA batteries. I used two sets of rechargeable batteries (fully charged) to test it out and both times the radio continued to play for a little over an hour. So it's not a bad product but I guess I was foolish in thinking that the 4 AA batteries would give me a couple of hours of juice, not just one.
If I had to do it over, for the price, I would pass.

(More customer reviews)This charger works!!! It is a little bigger due to the 4 cells, but don't let that stop you from having one in your pack or briefcase. You do not have to turn off the phone to use the charger. This allows you to still receive call or msgs while charging. And because it uses AA type batteries you can carry spares with you for extended times away from vehicles or line power sources. It is the one that will be in my 24 hr SAR pack when I go on searches!!! It could be a life saver.

The charger is compact and easy to carry around in camera bags, etc. The only only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is that I was hoping it was a little faster charger. When filled with all four batteries it takes at least the full amount of time shown in the instructions to charge the batteries; more than I expected. Overall I am quite satisfied with the purchase and would buy it again if I found a need for another charger/battery combo.

Initially they worked well, but a year later neither will hold a charge for more than a day or two, and I hardly ever use use my phone for calls. I don't use data either. Mostly, it's just powered on, in case my wife calls. I'll have to see how their two year guarantee holds up. If it was one battery, I may have put it down to bad luck, but the problem is with both.

(More customer reviews)The Lenmar Pro711 is an intelligent rapid charger, that is, it has a microprocessor that detectd negative delta voltage (-dV). A drop in voltage occurs when the batteries attain full charge. When the voltage-drop is detected by the microprocessor, the main charger is shut off (to prevent damage to the batteries from overheating) and a trickle-charge is initiated.
The Pro711 charges AA and AAA-sized batteries and four AA high-capacity NIMH batteries are included with the main charger. The Pro711 can be used on NiCad or NIMH batteries. {Rechargeable alkalines must not be used). Fully-drained Nicad charges in 1 hour (700mah), NIMH charges in 2 hours (1600mah) or more (2-1/2hrs for 2000 mah). Batteries must be "loaded" in pairs (2 batteries or 4 batteries at a time) and must be of the same type ( do not mix niCad and nimh batteries when charging). This Pro711 model works only with AC-input (110-240v input); the 12v-DC cigarette-lighter-adapter is an option and costs extra.

(More customer reviews)I got the unit in a timely manner. However, when I put in four fresh AA batteries and plugged it into my ipaq h3850 and turned on the battery unit and the PDA, the PDA screen flickered briefly, then died. After that, the PDA would no longer turn on, even when plugged into the AC adapter. The ipaq h3850 requires 5 volts of power. The Gomadic unit supplies 6 volts (four AA batteries is 4 x 1.5 volts = 6 volts). Supposedly, the Gomadic unit regulates voltage, but if it doesn't, that would explain why my ipaq died. The construction of the battery pack is also somewhat flimsy -- cheap plastic. Overall, I am very disappointed in this product and would NOT recommend it to anyone. I want my money back (and more than that, I want a working ipaq, but this is rather unlikely).
