You can use the flop-down recepticle and charge the AA batteies by plugging into 110 AC, or use the 12v adapter and plug it into your 12v outlet in your car.

There are 2 indicator lights ; one to indicate that the charger is getting power, and the other BLINKS while the batteries are charging - then is on-always when charging is done. Too EASY.
The 2300 mah batteries hold a lot of output power.
